Back to work, w00t! ^^
Aug. 5th, 2002 08:19 amYeah, I know--saying that might seem odd to some. But frankly it's a step towards everything getting back to normal, so I'm happy about it. Plus, even though last week was a slow week, I don't like leaving my coworkers to take up my slack--not to mention, there are a few things that only I cover, so I don't want that stuff to pile up. Everything looks okay for the most part, though, so getting back into it should be no problem.
The drive in was interesting--it was the first time I'd driven since Wednesday am, and the first time I'd driven the rental car (a Toyota Corolla, 2001 I think). I was a touch nervous at first, especially since it's raining, but I was just extra cautious and things went well. The biggest thing was getting used to it being an automatic (Kept trying to shift and use the clutch) and to it being power steering (the Saturn was rack and pinion steering, I believe...). It's a decent little car, though--but really compact. I thought the Saturn was small... ^^;
Had Leslie's DnD game over at the house yesterday (sorry I couldn't talk longer, Lemm!! *flails, hugs*) Normally it'd go from noon-6, but this time it lasted until 7:15. Yeek. ^^;; Now, I figured that since I'd be resting all damned day, I'd be fine, but afterwards I was extremely dead tired and drained of energy, and my left leg was *really* bothering me. I dunno if it was the angle I had it propped up at, or the fact that I didn't get up *enough* to move and work it a bit, or what. Eh. Ended up stretching it out on the couch all evening with a heating pad--I do think that helped some, but damn am I still gimpy.
I keep telling myself to be patient, and that the swelling will go away eventually, but damn I'm frustrated with it. I'm just keeping on taking the Naproxen, resting it, and guess I'll try the heating pad again tonight--I'll see if I can plug it in to the power strip by the computer so I can get some online time for once. *flails* Gotta love the colors of the bruises, tho--pretty! *hee* Though *damn* are they huge. I'd thought they'd been big before, but as stuff works its way to the surface...jinkies! ^^;
