(no subject)

...cel angst. That's the best way of summarizing it. >_< It's all that's been on my brain since...well, for days, now, but I certainly spent all of yesterday looking at things, considering auctions, deciding not to do auctions, losing auctions (gah), getting shown Wonderful things by Kea, etc etc.

Meh. There's one thing I emailed a person on that hasn't contacted me yet. But the other thing, the truly Wonderful thing...hmf. Lets just say it is Spectacular, involving Yue and Touya in a Very Cool Scene, and even has a background--and it's Fscking Expensive, and the person selling it is not really into selling it by payments. *sigh* Now I've gotta decide...should I put it on a credit card, enable myself to make "payments" that way, and deal with a bit of finance charges, or do I let it go? As he said, it's con season, and it'll probably sell at one of 'em, so it probably won't be around forever. And I really have fallen quite in love with it. Ergh...I need to think on it some.

I'm also doing non-cel things, really I am. Um, I got everything I needed for my K costume (I'll be carrying a neon-orange/purple squirt gun, tho--no realistic guns, even old west style, these days. Thanks politicians and terrorists. >:p I think I'm gonna stop at a fabric store to see if they have something that'll work as Watari's hair scarf--the regular stores I checked at didn't have anything that'd work.

Hmf. I'm gonna wander off and be snarky and stew about Gorgeous and Expensive cels. As the quote from the song "Tear Away" says: "Goddamn, I love me." Yeah.s

Awrighty. Little more calm and rational about all things cel-ish (ie. got over my pissy fit). I am letting practicality and rationality--and my rarely appearing wise-self--win out...gonna let that really expensive cel go.

Perhaps I will find another such one at a later time, when I'm more prepared to make such a large purchase on the spot. At least I hope so--I'd have to snivel a bit more if a 'Yue and Touya in the same image (especially in that sorta pose ^^)' cel like this was a once-inna-lifetime opportunity.

As it is, I'm gonna have three Touya cels after all is said and done, and one Yue cel (the gal with the really reasonably priced Yue flying cel contacted me that it's still available, so I'm snapping it up. Being able to avoid auctions is keen. ^^ ) And it's a good shot of Yue--shows a lot of hair, lot of his cool outfit, and naturally lot of his wings. So it's good. ^__^

And there is one last auction I'm gonna contact Celga about--a nice one of the large form of Kero and Yue together. It'll be a nice way to finish off my first round of acquisition. Then I shall stop. Okay, then I shall stop *for a while*. :D Then I can go back to being a sane person, play a bit at Akon, get an iPod, that sorta thing--perhaps I'll play again at this when the ol' birthday rolls around this summer.

Hm, I should go tinker with unpacking some boxes. It's sad how much I've still got boxed up. 95% of my books, all my knick-knacky things, all my pictures/posters/wallscrolls. Eh. ^^;; I am a lazy person.

Found the first tape of Tenshi ni Narumon (sub, of course ^^) for rent at Dragon's Lair, one of the comic places in town. Looks to be interesting and cute stuff--I shall have to copy since everyone else was busy and couldn't come over this afternoon. (I'd say that this was proof of not thinking of cels, but I was reminded how much of how I want to try this series when I got shown some character cels last night... ^^ Rafael is much interesting. :D )a
