Just watched the episode. DAAAAAAMN! Poor Dean - yeah, we pretty much knew that was where his head was at, but to hear him say it out loud HURT.

I loved the way they showed us Sam was lying, even under the curse and with him speaking to teh goddess, without making it TOO obvious. Throwing Dean the knife, YES!

A Sam who can't feel is perfectly in line with what we've all seen. He's still Sam, still knows how to act, what he should do, what's important to him. But he can't feel any of the reasons that make it important. And I think he honestly does want help. Because, sure, he's a better hunter this way. But Dean thinks he's a monster. And Sam knows that means he is.

Haven't seen the preview yet. But I'd assume Dean beating Sam up at the end wasn't just an expression of rage, but a way to render Sam unconcious so Dean can get him hog-tied in the back of the Impala and then to Bobby's.
