"Are you freebasing, Michael? Inquiring minds want to know."

Definitely adding my name to the crowd of people bummed at the death of Corey Haim. He was, yeah, one of my junior high/high school crushes. I never saw many of his films, but I was NUTS NUTS NUTS for The Lost Boys. That film remains my favorite vampire movie of all time, and I still listen to the soundtrack. My best friend at the time was crazy for Kiefer Sutherland, but I was into Corey Haim and Jason Patric.

Already been feeling sorta old lately (five months to 37 wharrgarbl), but having someone who not only was a pop culture icon of yonder teen years but also was barely older than me die, that sorta makes me feel it more.

Sam Emerson: "Look at your reflection in the mirror. You're a creature of the night, Michael, just like out of a comic book! You're a vampire, Michael! My own brother, a goddamn, shit-sucking vampire. You wait 'till mom finds out, buddy!"

I've been doing the "you're getting up there and have accomplished nothing in your life. Way to go!" thing for a little while now, it happens every year around this time. This news did not help(neither does the fact that my baby sister is starting high school in the fall). I remember my older cousins being obsessed with The Lost Boys when it came out, and I also remember being terrified of it(I was 6). I totally broke out the dvd to watch later though.

I'm saddened by the news as well. :( I'm just a year behind you, so I feel a lot of the same things about mortality and such.

So, so sad. I feel kinda lost because it is a huge reminder of mortality and passing time and all that. Plus, the loss of my biggest childhood crush. :(

My favorites are The Lost Boys, License to Drive, Dream a Little Dream and Lucas. Think I'll go rewatch those.

I KNOWWWWWWWW...

Some of my best memories are watching License to Drive and Dream A Little Dream with my brother. ;_;

That line from Lost Boys? Best. Movie. Quote. Ever.

The Lost Boys and Dream a Little Dream. I loved those movies. I was just a little bummed but not entirely surprised.
