Dear (former)President Ford:

I express condolences at your death, though of course with a nod to how very long you had lived. Not many get to 93, even now. But I will say this:

--Because the day of your funeral is a federal holiday, and we here have a practice that all federal holidays are thus state holidays and

--Because I am currently on the university's official holiday break *already*, and thus have to be awarded the said extra day of state holiday at the end of the break

--I get Tuesday the 2nd off as well. I don't have to go back to work until Wednesday the 3rd.
