Smells like...

Today's Two Lumps and VGCats are both teh win. Heh. Mmm, cooked hot dogs...

Not much lvl-ing lately in WoW. Been spending a lot of time getting map discoveries in new areas, buffing skills (Sasu-rogue's fishing's now maxed at 300), and playing my warlock alt a little. Naturally now I'm in the mood for questing, so maybe I'll be more serious about it tonight. At the least, I need to leather-farm--need thick and rugged muchly to up that skill. I have nifty patterns waiting for me to learn.

Altoids sour cherry gum is also teh win.

Seems Nix has tagged me with that music relay meme thing--will work on that over the next couple days. Because I always have to put a lot of thought into such things, and how the heck do I not write down every song I've ever heard that's affected me? >_>; Ahaha, a challenge! *poses*

Splendid thunderstorms last night--we may get a bit more today, but not quite as intense, which is a bummer. That sort of thing is gorgeous. Makes good background noise for gaming, too.

Saturday evening hung out with Anj some, and watched the first five eps. of Gundam Seed. Seems decent so far, pretty cool--though I don't think it's grabbing me *quite* as much as others out there (like Anj said she liked this way more than GW, but it's not hitting me like that--GW was something I fell hard, fast, and instantly for, while this is enjoyable but probably not something I'll obsess on. Is a good group watch, though. But I still really wanna show everyone Bleach :3 )

The last (*Last*) store in town selling that Haagen Daaz creme brulee ice cream stopped. And the restaurant doing the espresso creme brulee took it off the menu. ... I can only think that the people in this city are mindless, ignorant, low-brow heathens. With no appreciation of the finer things. Bastards.

Seed won't pull you into a passionate kiss and screw your brains out.

What it will do is romance you slowly, over dinner perhaps, giving you the chance to settle into it, until you are thoroughly smitten with its depth, and then it will take you home and make love to you slowly, all night long.

*__* What a way of describing it. Was already looking forward to more, but now I'm really, really looking forward to how the series develops.

(but seriously, hearing it put like that makes a person go 'oh-hohoho' ^.^ )

It's a slow burn, and its beauty lies in its attention to detail.

Gutwrenching angst is... gutwrenching angst, no punches pulled. And the seiyuus do a phemonenal job of it.

And the subtle shifts in characters, the subtle shades of gray of one's position on the war... and both what one is capable of and what one can do when pushed into a corner...

Gads, just... it's meant to be a whole story. The characters are important and amazingly well done, but they are actors merely furthering the plot. Around ep. 28-29, I started staying up in all-night marathons, because the 30's were /amazing/.

I would say something about SEED..but I think it's already been said now :D;;

XD I didn't get swallowed by it until the episodes hit the mid teens. Then it was all over for brain.

Ahhh, ok, so that's normal then. ^^; I was wondering if I was just missing something, since sure it seems enjoyable, but wasn't triggering huge fannishness yet. Heh, will look forward to more then, definitely.

It's on my top-10 list in the same way that Trigun, Evangelion, GTO Live Action are. /Great/ characterization, and an emotionally-rewarding plot that draws you in deeply.

*giggles madly*

Yeahhhhh.... that's how Seed got me, too. I actually had seen 1-7 when it first came out, and had put it down until there started to be a buzz about it. [livejournal.com profile] shiroibara was the one who got me hyped again, and I'm VERY GLAD of that! *squeaks*

Which is a fun trade, because I got her into Death Note. *evil grin* My work is done...

Your icon is *priceless*, may I add...
