So...WoW Tauren. *ponders* Native American much, Blizzard? I mean, seriously, they're not even subtle about it. 'Hey, how about you be Plains Indians, except this time you're the buffalo. :D' Not that it's done badly or I'm complaining or anything like that. I like that race rather much, and I've got my shaman up to lvl 7 already. The thought just occurred to me, because usually most of their 'influences'/ripping-off has been integrated in more inobviously.

Anyway. Not much else--I should spare others the constant geek or woe, but had to at least comment on this.

Oh yeah...one more thing of note: twice I've seen typos in WoW text. Same one both times--it's instead of its. I'm tempted to email them about it, but then I'd be helping them for free, and it's not the beta any more, so heck with it.

All I remember about Tauren from Warcraft 3 was that if you got enough of them (like, say, 10...or 50.) No one could stop you. Ever. You were invincible.

I'm guessing in an MMORPG setting that isn't true. XD;

Well, I haven't died yet. ^^ Nowait, cancel that, I did that one time last night, didn't I? >_> Um, so yeah. But then again, I haven't banded together in any Tauren groups/guilds, so who knows what'd happen then. There is this race ability called "War Stomp" though, and I'm kinda amused at that. ...excuse me, I need a geek moment.

What I never understood was that the Tauren are Native Americans, but then what the hell are the Orcs? I always thought they were supposed to be the natural/shamanistic whatevers.

And now they have samurai. wtf.

Samurai? o_o I must find out more about this. Because, yeah, I'm geek-dork enough to try to be that, if possible. *dork dork*

Orcs...hrm, maybe Arabic? >_o I was in their capital city in the beta, and it had the sort of sandy-desert thing going on (whereas the trolls have the red rocks-southwestern US desert bit covered). But WoW does seem to be setting up the Tauren as very shaman/in tune with nature--though looks like Trolls (and orcs?) are shaman capable, too. *scratches head* Dunno, still a lot I'm clueless on in this game. But I like hitting things :D
